Technical Project Manager | Brampton, ON
Loblaw Technology and Analytics is looking for an experienced, dedicated Technical Project Manager to lead various IT projects across our portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for directing project staff and managing all aspects of the Project Management and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
As a Technical Project Manager, you will be accountable for the overall delivery of projects on time, on budget, and on scope. You will work collaboratively with business units and technical teams to meet strategic priorities, integrating technology, people, and process streams to ensure project success. By working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, you will gain the confidence of the business by providing stable systems, delivering with a sense of urgency, and navigating business changes effectively. As a key leader, you will play a crucial role in driving the evolution of our technology landscape.

What You’ll Do:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the agreed-upon scope in alignment with the product vision.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, project plans, and budget trackers, communicating progress to all stakeholders.
Guide, coach, and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering open communication and a collaborative environment to ensure project success.
Serve as the primary liaison between internal business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to define requirements, manage expectations, and ensure clear communication.
Proactively manage project risks, issues, and inter-dependencies, integrate work across teams and oversee project budgets, escalating concerns as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
Ensure established business and technology processes are followed while adapting to the unique needs of each project.
Facilitate Scrum events, support product owner and promote agile principles throughout teams.
What You Bring:
Extensive experience in IT Project Management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects.
A post-secondary degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
Deep understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the flexibility to apply different project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) as needed.
Demonstrated expertise in core project management competencies: strategic planning, budget and timeline management, scope control, risk mitigation, and effective team leadership.
Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project, Jira, or Confluence, as well as MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Visio).
Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-functional environment and manage stakeholder expectations.
A high degree of adaptability and resilience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and navigate a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Proven experience delivering technology projects within the retail industry is an asset.
Practical experience in a Scrum Master role, guiding teams using Agile principles and methodologies (“nice to have”).
