We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist (12 month contract) who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and knows how to connect with top driving talent. If you’re passionate about recruiting, relationship-building, and keeping trucks moving, this role is for you. This position has the flexibility to be based in Calgary, AB or Brampton, ON.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for Class 1 drivers (company drivers & owner operators)
- Source, screen, and qualify candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and industry networks
- Conduct interviews and manage candidate pipelines in a high-volume environment
- Handle high call volumes and maintain consistent communication with candidates
- Coordinate and book road tests with qualified applicants
- Support and coordinate driver orientations and onboarding
- Ensure all hires meet compliance and regulatory requirements (licenses, abstracts, etc.)
- Build strong relationships with operations, safety, and leadership teams
- Maintain accurate records in ATS systems (Workday or similar)
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of recruiting experience (transportation or logistics preferred)
- Knowledge of the transportation industry and driver networks, including a strong understanding of Class 1 / AZ driver requirements and industry standards
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong organizational skills with experience booking meetings and coordinating schedules
- A passion for recruiting and connecting with people
- Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
- A team-first attitude with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with a results-driven mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ATS platforms (Workday experience is an asset)
