SHIFT: Wednesday to Sunday (flexible schedule for day, afternoon, evening & weekend)

What you'll do: 

  • Obtain updates from the prior shift, including DP times, load types, non-retail load updates, and other critical information, ensuring clear communication and continuity between teams.
  • Review operational performance, identify labor requirements based on load time availability, and make informed decisions to address issues efficiently.
  • Review emails, confirm all loads are printed, reconcile driver assignments, and ensure all loads are completed as scheduled.
  • Organize and consolidate retail and non-retail loads to optimize resource use and delivery efficiency.
  • Select drivers based on operational needs and assign appropriate routes using trucking management software and related technology.
  • Monitor and control daily performance to ensure compliance, manage risks, and maintain service standards.
  • Provide detailed updates to the following shift upon their arrival, ensuring consistent and accurate information flow.
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Build and lead diverse teams that foster collaboration, inclusiveness, and a sense of belonging.
  • Plan and organize schedules, resources, and priorities to meet operational demands, even under pressure.

What you bring: 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify issues quickly and implement effective, practical solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing operational demands.
  • Proficiency in trucking management software and related technology applications.
  • Team-oriented mindset, willing to assist others and contribute to a positive, productive workplace.
  • Prior experience in a transportation environment preferred.
  • Shift: Wednesday to Sunday, flexible schedule for day, afternoon, and evening shifts, including weekend, and holiday coverage.
