Summer Student - Responsible Sourcing

Role Mandate
Loblaw is looking to hire a Summer Student to join their Responsible Sourcing team, supporting our Enterprise Sustainability and Responsible Sourcing team.
Reporting to the Sr Director, Responsible Sourcing, this role will focus on conducting detailed analysis of our annual sustainable product data and reporting and will drive continuous improvements to our processes and documentation.
Accountabilities
Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include:
- Identify any products at high sourcing risk and work with category teams to track plans against bringing these into compliance with our Master Sourcing Guidance
- Update the Master Sourcing Guide including management of the re-assessment process for product specifications
- Work with external partners to update the data as required
Job Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Strong project management skills
- Highly organized, able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Works independently and collaboratively, comfortable with remote working environment
- Strong time management skills and problem-solving skills, looks for and recommends solutions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication/presentation skills, both oral and written
- Strong work ethic with a passion for detail and accuracy
- Post-secondary education in a related field and personal interest in sustainability is an asset
