As of October 15, 2024 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).

Why is this role important:
Reporting to the Sr Manager of Marketing for Wholesale Club, the summer student will assist with a multitude of marketing tasks. Our team handles all aspects of marketing for our business – from signage creation, out-of-home campaigns, and promotional programs to email management, digital marketing, website support and everything in between! This role is perfect for anyone looking to gain exposure to the world of marketing. Further to that, we are specifically looking for a candidate who has graphic design experience and can create assets for print and digital campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative assets, both print and digital, to be used in marketing campaigns

  • Collaborate across teams to plan, create, and measure digital marketing campaigns, content for B2B websites, and social media

  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to enhance the business’ digital profile and overall brand awareness

  • Analyze key performance metrics and ad reports and provide recommendations for growth

  • Present ideas to help promote the brand or campaigns in new ways

  • Commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging

Job Qualifications

  • Graphic design experience to develop creative assets

  • Experience using the Adobe Suite products, including Photoshop, In-Design, Illustrator, etc.

  • Experience in the field of marketing

  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and copywriting skills

  • Must have the ability to speak/write English fluently. French is a plus

  • Be eager to learn and contribute to the team success

  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle and ability to travel to our head office in Brampton for 4 days in-office per week
