Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Planning & Initiatives

The Senior Manager, Process & Planning will provide superior project governance for key initiatives within our Transport Operations by documenting strategy milestones and developing process adherence.  This exciting role reports into our Vice President of Supply Chain Planning and Initiatives and will work collaboratively across many workstreams within Transportation Operations.

What You’ll Do:

·      Support project and process adherence for key Transport Operations initiatives including the contribution to strategic & operating goals and objectives of the team

·      Responsible for managing timelines and execution of high-profile strategy projects & initiatives that support the Supply Chain business unit

·      Lead the development of process maps and standard operating procedures

·      Lead the development of analytics measuring the success of project milestone implementations by leading an Analyst of Process & Planning

·      Support the identification of technology and system requirements to support Transport Initiatives and lead the project management of this implementation

·      Traffic control planned and unplanned priorities and problem solve ways to bring to completion (trade-offs, resources, interrelated activities)

·      Lead various projects through all stages of a typical project life cycle

·      Create project plans, landmarks & roadmaps from project initiation through to execution

·      Organize/lead project meetings and maintain accountability with working team(s)

·      Actively engage key partners throughout project: status updates, risks/issues, timelines, etc.

·      Lead project workstreams & teams to ensure timelines are achieved on time and within budget

·      Develop solutions to project challenges and issues; call out to project sponsors as vital

·      Identify and assess project risks and mitigation strategies; partner with various internal resources/SMEs as appropriate

·      Direct and/or handle implementation of solutions/changes (e.g., communication plans, education/training to staff on new roles/processes/functions, score carding, etc.)

·      Prepare presentation materials for internal working team & executive meetings outlining strategy and/or updating progress

·      Lead process for collecting and consolidating data required for periodic review

·      Develop strong and effective working relationships with project partners

·      Be a thought partner and provide subject matter expertise in planning, prioritizing and responsible for the projects portfolio

·      Cultivate a positive work environment – a culture of positivity, curiosity, collaboration & transparency

·      Work collaboratively with project sponsors to create and drive strategy

·      Follow appropriate compliance, risk management & governance in the execution of all activities

What You’ll Need:

·      Minimum 5 years previous work experience required

·      Supply Chain, management consulting, or consumer goods experience strongly preferred

·      Post-secondary education an asset

·      Project Management Professional (PMP) certification an asset

·      Strong interpersonal & communication skills

·      Independent problem solving, critical thinking, and resourcefulness, with attention to detail

·      Ability to conduct meetings and facilitate large group / cross-functional sessions

·      Ability to be proactive and lead partners & working teams, and move forward quickly and independently

·      Strong project and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing projects

·      Ability to handle multiple projects involving multi-disciplinary teams operating in a constantly evolving work environment

·      Ability to optimally handle timelines to ensure delivery of project objectives

·      Well versed in Lean and/or Six Sigma with knowledge of Design Thinking, able to deliver concepts and principles, certification preferred

·      Expertise in SQL & SAS to analyze complex sets of data; having PYTHON experience is an asset
