Sr. Manager, Experiential Marketing - 12mth Contract

Role Mandate:

This role is responsible for the development and execution of experiential programs to support the growth of Loblaw’s control brands, national brands and divisions.

Accountabilities:

  • Collaborating with other members of the Marketing team, develop and execute marketing programs and activations to support the growth of Loblaw’s control brand businesses, national brands and banners.
  • Working with internal stakeholders, to develop and execute flawless in-store programs (demo) and onsite activations (both in and out of store).
  • Lead all in store demo programs including National Brands, Liquor Brands and Control Brands
  • Continuous measurement of demo programs, activation programs in order to recognize opportunities and improvements
  • Lead and inspire all agency partners in recognizing and achieving the team’s and company’s objectives and deliverables
  • Oversee all work put through the Experiential team and ensuring that the proper agency partners have been selected
  • Working with internal subject matter experts and external agency partners to strategize, develop and execute communication and activation programs to support national marketing initiatives.
  • Working with category management teams and product developers, developing and executing marketing strategies to support sales growth of key product categories.
  • Evaluate key learning’s from previous programs to build stronger activations and programs
  • Establish and maintain budgets for the aforementioned marketing activities.   Develop creative solutions to save costs and resources (ads, media, collateral, agency fees etc.)
  • Liaise between creative /production teams and internal teams to ensure creative adheres to all marketing and trademark rules, aligns with overall strategy and objectives
  • Actively monitor all projects, from conceptual development to creative design and specification to post analysis ensuring strategic alignment, completeness and accuracy.
  • Manage all internal atrium activations from development to execution
  • Work with EPG and vendors  to negotiate and develop all sponsorship contracts, Statement of Works and invoicing
  • Setting frequent touchpoints with key stakeholders to maintain level of service (status meetings, QBR’s)

Role Requirements:

  • University or college degree in business, marketing or an equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience in retailing, advertising, marketing or merchandising environment.
  • Available to work weekends and off hours both in and out of city to manage programs for the duration of the activation
  • Able to manage a multi-person team providing strategic leadership, support and writing performance reviews

Key Measures (Performance indicators):

  • Marketing communication effectiveness to drive awareness, sales and return on marketing investment.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment constantly meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to deliver programs that are within budget and time and meets all objectives
  • Creation of clearly positioned marketing collateral that meets communication and image enhancement objectives.
  • Recognizing KPI’s prior to start of program and delivering against them
