Based out of Shoppers Drug Mart Head Office at 243 Consumers Road, Toronto, ON. You will work flexibly with a hybrid model of being in-person at the SDM Head Office 4 days per week with 1 day of work-from-home.

Why is this role important:

The Brand Marketing Specialist provides tactical support for the development and execution of Personal Care, OTC, Cross Category and Community Investments marketing campaigns and programs. Reporting to a Sr. Marketing Manager, you will be a key player responsible for coordinating and implementing a wide range of Shoppers Drug Mart's marketing activities, from brand building campaigns involving our charity foundation, to category marketing strategies, and shopper marketing programs partnering with leading consumer brands (eg. P&G, L’Oreal, Kenvue, etc.). This role is an early step in the brand marketing career path and supports cross-functional campaign teams through close analysis of insights and trends while owning the details in campaign delivery to ensure seamless execution.

What you'll do:

  • Creative Execution: Develop clear and comprehensive executional briefs to support marketing campaign/program development. Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Loblaw Agency, Loblaw Digital) and external agency partners to manage creative reviews, approvals, and timelines. Ensure all assets align with brand guidelines and consolidate stakeholder feedback into actionable direction.

  • Deployment Execution: Work with internal stakeholders (Category Management, Legal, Merchandising, Business Analytics, Operations, etc.) to deliver business objectives. Support the end-to-end execution of brand, category, and shopper marketing programs, ensuring campaigns launch on time and on budget. Maintain detailed project timelines using tools such as Workfront, track deliverables across cross-functional teams, and monitor in-flight performance, flagging optimization opportunities as needed.

  • Optimize, Develop Insights & Best Practices: Assist in compiling campaign performance reports and analyzing key metrics to identify trends and insights. Participate in post-mortems, document learnings, and support continuous campaign and program improvement through the development of job aids and process documentation.

  • Vendor Management: Support external CPG brand partners (e.g., Unilever, Haleon, Church & Dwight) in executing joint marketing programs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with internal processes, including inputting and tracking vendor promotional offers and revenue.

  • Project Management: Maintain timelines and update dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools as required.

What you bring:

  • 1–3 years of experience in Retail/Brand Marketing or within a marketing agency environment.

  • Strong project management and operational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

  • A passion for brand building and marketing, with a resourceful, customer-focused mindset and solid business acumen.

  • Collaborative and effective communicator, able to build cross-functional relationships, source information, and secure approvals to move work forward.

  • Experience supporting brand communications, creative development, and media strategy (traditional and digital), with the ability to translate data and analytics into actionable insights that drive campaign performance.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
