Soup, Sandwich, Carvery Department Manager

Overview:

To ensure the efficient functioning of the Soup & Sandwich department (B Model), providing customers with the best quality foods, ensuring courteous, timely customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience.

·         To direct and supervise all Soup & Sandwich (B Model) staff to secure efficient and courteous customer service;

·         To respond immediately to any customer inquiries, requests and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times;

·         To maximize sales and gross profit, ensuring sales’ goals, budgets and shrink targets are met;

·         Responsible for ordering, receiving, inventory and display of merchandise;

·         To hire all part-time staff and train new employees;

·         To schedule all Soup, Salad and Sandwich clerks ensuring the strict control of wage costs;

·         To interpret and administer Company policy and ensure compliance with the union contract;

·         To ensure the maintenance of equipment as well as the safety and sanitation of the department;

·         To ensure compliance with the company food safety standards, regulations and audits;

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:

·         Exceptional customer service skills

·         The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the prepared foods industry, with previous management experience in either a restaurant or fast food operation;

·         Post secondary education in culinary preparation, such as line cooking procedures are a definite asset;

·         Flexibility to work a variety of hours including days, evenings, and weekends;

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure;

·         Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
