Our unique position as one of the country's largest employers, coupled with our commitment to positively impact the lives of all Canadians, provides our colleagues a range of opportunities and experiences to help Canadians Live Life Well®.

At Loblaw Companies Limited, we succeed through collaboration and commitment and set a high bar for ourselves and those around us. Whether you are just starting your career, re-entering the workforce, or looking for a new job, this is where you belong.

Why This Role Matters

Social media generates massive amounts of data – but data only matters if it leads to better decisions. We need someone who can turn that data into clear insights that help our social team and brand partners understand what's working, what's not, and what to do next.

As our Social Media Analytics Manager, you'll be the go-to expert for measurement across our social channels. You'll build the dashboards and frameworks that make performance visible, translate complex data into recommendations people can actually act on, and help both our internal team and brand marketing partners get smarter about how they use analytics.

This is a hands-on role with strategic impact. You'll do the work and shape how we think about measurement.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze social performance across platforms and turn findings into clear, actionable recommendations for content, community, and strategy teams

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting systems that make it easy to see what's working and optimize in real time

  • Define and evolve the KPIs that actually matter – moving beyond vanity metrics to measure engagement quality, sentiment, and business impact

  • Partner with brand marketing clients and internal social teams to help them understand the data and use it to make better decisions

  • Identify trends, opportunities, and risks by analyzing our performance alongside competitor and industry benchmarks

  • Create standardized measurement frameworks and processes that can scale across multiple brands and platforms

  • Work with social listening and analytics tools (like Sprout Social) to pull insights and automate reporting where possible

  • Educate stakeholders on analytics best practices – helping people ask better questions and interpret data more effectively

What You Bring

  • 4–6+ years of experience in social media analytics, digital analytics, or marketing measurement

  • Strong working knowledge of social platforms (organic and paid) and how to measure performance across them

  • Hands-on experience with social analytics tools like Sprout Social, native platform analytics, or similar

  • Proven ability to turn data into stories and recommendations that non-analysts can understand and use

  • Experience building dashboards or reports that people actually rely on to make decisions

  • Comfortable working across teams – you can translate between creative, strategy, and data people

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; you're naturally curious and love digging into the "why"

  • Excellent communication skills – you can present insights clearly whether it's in a deck, an email, or a conversation

  • Post-secondary education in marketing, analytics, business, or related field

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI

  • Familiarity with retail, CPG, or multi-brand environments

  • Experience integrating social data with other marketing data sources

  • Background in developing measurement frameworks or standardizing reporting processes

What Success Looks Like

In your first year, you'll:

  • Build measurement frameworks and processes that give the social team better insights and help drive stronger performance

  • Turn complex data into recommendations that teams act on – not just reports that sit in inboxes

  • Raise the analytics IQ across the social team and with brand partners through education and collaboration
