Site Reliability Engineer I, Brampton, ON

Are you passionate about maintaining reliable and efficient systems? As an SRE-1, you’ll be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving system stability. You’ll work closely with development and operations teams to enhance automation, optimize performance, and ensure smooth deployments. This role offers a great opportunity to build your expertise in system reliability while contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure System Reliability – Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain the availability, latency, and overall system health of production environments.
  • Incident Response & Resolution – Participate in on-call rotations to respond to system failures, diagnose issues, and implement fixes to restore service.
  • Automation & Tooling – Develop automation scripts and tools to reduce manual intervention and improve system efficiency.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Work with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools to manage infrastructure deployment and configuration.
  • CI/CD & Deployment – Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable application releases.
  • Collaboration – Work closely with software engineers, support, and platform teams to improve application scalability and stability.

What you Bring:

  • Fundamental Knowledge of SRE & DevOps Practices – Understanding of reliability, scalability, and performance principles in distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in Scripting & Automation – Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages to automate tasks and manage infrastructure.
  • Hands-on Experience with Cloud & Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Exposure to GCP, AWS or Azure, and tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes.
  • Strong Problem-Solving & Communication Skills – Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Monitoring & Incident Response – Familiarity with tools like Prometheus or  Grafana for observability and alerting.
