The Impact You'll Make:
Senior Specialist, Application Security, Brampton, ON (1 Year Contract)
As a Senior Specialist, Application Security with a focus on AI/ML, you will lead security initiatives to safeguard our applications and systems. Your work will shape how we integrate AI-driven solutions into security, ensuring robust protection against evolving threats while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
What You’ll Do:
Assist with SAST, DAST, SCA & IaC, initiatives to ensure comprehensive application security.
Drive AI/ML integration into security processes, leveraging automation for threat detection and mitigation.
Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and manage API security across web applications and services.
Stay current with CVEs and security trends, providing proactive solutions to emerging risks.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to communicate security findings and mitigate risks effectively.
What You Bring:
Expertise in Application Security, and secret scanning tools within secure development pipelines.
Strong understanding of AI/ML models and their application in enhancing security automation and threat detection.
Proven experience in penetration testing, API security, and vulnerability management (OWASP Top 10).
Proficiency in scripting (Python preferred) for security automation and tool integration.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders on security issues.
