Why this role is important?
We are hiring a Senior Product Manager, Beauty, with focus on Quo Beauty Cosmetic Accessories, Nail Colour, and the Exclusive Holiday Bath Program, along with support for other beauty categories as required.
Reporting to the Director, Control Brands – Beauty, this role leads the brand and product strategies to increase market penetration, sales, and profitability across exclusive and control brand beauty portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product development and innovation for cosmetic accessories (e.g., cosmetic brushes, sponges, tools and false lashes) and nail collections, driving assortment expansion, packaging, and finish innovations.
- Manage the planning, sourcing, and execution of the exclusive holiday bath program, ensuring seasonal relevance, premium packaging, and compelling in-market activation.
- Collaborate closely with vendors, packaging suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure product quality, cost optimization, and on-time launches across all assigned categories.
- Support other beauty categories as needed, coordinating development and merchandising efforts to meet brand and business objectives.
- Develop and implement targeted merchandising, pricing, promotion, and packaging strategies for core assortments and seasonal launches, tailored to enhance consumer appeal and product discoverability.
- Utilize market research and competitive analysis across these categories to identify trends, gaps, and innovation opportunities aligned with customer needs and market demand.
- Drive business intelligence efforts by analyzing sales, inventory, and margin data to recommend assortment, pricing, or promotional adjustments.
- Partner with Beauty Category Management, Marketing, and Store Operations to align product launches with go-to-market strategies and merchandising programs.
- Prepare and present category business reviews, planograms, and vendor performance evaluations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead Request for Proposals (RFPs), negotiate terms, and secure advantageous vendor agreements to support margin improvement and category growth.
- Manage inventory and supply chain coordination to minimize stockouts and optimize product availability.
- Mentor direct reports to foster efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to best practices in product management.
Skills and Experience
- Deep category expertise in cosmetic accessories and nail colour, with proven success managing product lines and seasonal programs such as holiday bath collections.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience driving sales growth, margin improvement, and consumer engagement in beauty categories.
- Skilled in vendor management, product development lifecycle, and packaging innovation.
- Knowledgeable about merchandising best practices, pricing strategy, and marketing fundamentals in beauty retail.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
- Adaptable and collaborative with experience balancing multiple categories and seasonally-driven product programs.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product management or merchandising, preferably in beauty with focus on cosmetic accessories, nail colour, and seasonal bath programs.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing multi-SKU product portfolios in a retail environment
