The Hard Discount Strategy & Customer Insights team partners with divisional and enterprise teams to create data-driven insights and develop strategies that advance our divisional priorities.  We are hiring a Senior Manager, Strategy & Customer Insights to accelerate our insight generation capabilities and elevate the impact of our strategic planning across a broad range of divisional initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Champion growth for the Hard Discount division by leading initiatives to improve revenue, profitability, and market share performance
  • Partner collaboratively with a range of teams to develop and execute strategies that achieve our divisional priorities
  • Leverage data to drive actionable insights, providing problem-solving and thought leadership to support execution
  • Present your initiatives and recommendations to senior leadership in collaboration with other teams
  • Develop analytical and strategic frameworks to enhance merchandising, promotional, and operational initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of our annual plans including creating presentations, Board materials, and memos

What You Bring:

  • Post-secondary education – Business, Finance, Math/Statistics, Analytics plus minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in strategy, analytics preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to interpret and synthesize data across multiple sources
  • High degree of influence: demonstrated ability to generate action from recommendations
  • Self-starter: demonstrated initiative and willingness to take ownership and learn
  • Team player: demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams
  • Project management: execute on initiatives end-to-end with minimal oversight
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability of building compelling presentations
  • Detail-oriented and strong time management skills
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced MS Office skills in Excel and PowerPoint required
    • Experience with SQL and GCP BigQuery is an asset
    • Experience with Python, SAS, R and VBA is an asset
    • Experience working with Nielsen is an asset
