The Senior Manager, Sourcing, Healthcare - IT will join a team of others reporting to the Director, Sourcing, Technology within the Non-Trade Sourcing Team. The successful candidate will be accountable for managing projects spanning the entire strategic sourcing process for the healthcare portfolio, with a primary focus on IT. Accountabilities will include procurement strategy development and strategic sourcing, stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration, negotiations and contracting, supplier performance and relationship management, cost management and savings target realization and business process optimization.
What You’ll Do:
Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies for the Healthcare category consistent with department and overall enterprise sourcing objectives
Engage and influence key players to identify opportunities, drive value, leverage market insights, improve processes, implement efficiencies, improve TCO of category products and services, and address supplier performance
Deliver financial and commercial business cases by managing sophisticated financial analysis, data compilation, and business case development, taking into consideration currency fluctuations, payment terms, and alternative financial cost scenarios
Appropriately involve support functions (IT, Analytics, Legal, Privacy, Risk, Security, etc.) and executive sponsors to drive initiatives forward and deliver on category objectives
Support strategic sourcing initiatives via spend analysis, demand consolidation, RFXs, supplier negotiations, and strong cross-category / cross-functional collaboration
Manage supplier partnerships and performance by setting and reviewing success metrics and ensuring appropriate review cadence and attendance
Identify and leverage opportunities across various business functions
Forecast, plan, execute, and report savings and value improvements to ensure aligned targets are met or exceeded
Support internal stakeholders and suppliers for timely issue resolution and information inquiries
Guide internal stakeholders to ensure full compliance with Loblaw’s procurement policies
What You’ll Bring:
This position is best suited for a candidate with strong analytics skills who takes initiative and demonstrates sound judgment to organize and prioritize tasks. Professionalism is required in dealing with colleagues for everyday working relationships.
Category management, sourcing, and supplier negotiations/management, experience
Strongly demonstrated analytical skills
Proven project management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to create/collect, manage and analyze sizable datasets and/or research information
Experience in procurement, supplier management and negotiation, project management
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and work with disparate teams
Ability to prioritize and deliver on many projects simultaneously
Previous experience with SAP, Ariba, Fieldglass and Jagger is an asset
Experience working in healthcare and IT an asset
Financial / business knowledge an asset
Skilled in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Qualifications:
4-6 years strategic category management, sourcing and procurement, analytical work, supplier management and negotiation
Experience with best practices for Goods Not For Resale requirements in strategic and tactical roles
Experience in procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba, Fieldglass preferred
Procurement / IT / Healthcare related certifications an asset
