We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Agency Operations to join our exciting Shoppers Drug Mart Business, spanning across Beauty, Health and Wellness, Community, Promo and more!  

Agency Operations are valued experts to our brand partners. They are a customer-centric team that nurtures and grows partner relationships while also managing agency resources to play a critical role in fulfilling core business objectives. They will help plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns with strong leadership skills and an attention to detail.   This role will be a key day to day lead on our valuable Agency Operations team to ensure campaigns are delivered and objectives are met.  The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with a background in leading creative and client teams through complex marketing campaigns.

The Sr. Manager, Agency Operations will report to the Director, Agency Operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Be the key liaison between our agency teams and Brand Partners to help drive projects through the organization

  • Lead as a campaign management partner. Working closely with Brands, Strategy (as needed) and Creative to deliver work delivers on feedback and brief.

  • Create project plans to govern all campaigns/initiatives

  • Identify and manage ongoing risk

  • Iterate and troubleshoot as necessary to deliver the project to success

  • Build schedule, timeline and meeting cadence for dedicated project team

  • Establish key project milestones to ensure project delivery, including major stakeholder check-ins

  • Lead Manager/s of Agency Operations, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure outstanding performance and growth.

  • Hold team members accountable to deliver their obligations as are outlined in the plan

  • Help establish risk management methodology and aid team members in risk mitigation efforts.

  • Establish status meeting approach and guidance for participation

  • Prepare and circulate consolidated meeting documentation in advance of meeting

  • Traffic media assets (shared across Operations team)

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including creative, production, resourcing and media to ensure seamless project execution

  • Meet key members weekly to status on their part of project plans

  • Lead Process development and optimizations

  • Proactively update and socialize the Agency Operations Roadshow to brand partners (semi-annually)

  • Budget and Financial forecasts and reconciliation – working closely with resource and dept leads to review for accuracy

  • Management of Executive Creative Gov meetings (invites, contact reports) 

  • Designate cross functional Post-Mortems for continuous learning and optimization

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to advance project interests as necessary

  • Work with broader Agency Operations team to forecast, track and reconcile agency fees and production costs for their portfolio

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of relevant, with a proven track record of successfully leading, managing, and delivering complex projects

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams

  • PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP or CSM designations considered an asset

  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Proficiency in project management tools and MS Suite

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • In-depth knowledge of production workflows, industry trends, and emerging technologies

  • Business acumen and a customer-focused approach

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
