The role stands on three key pillars:

  • Strategic Vision: Defining the 'what' and 'why'. You are responsible for creating the roadmap, identifying the highest-value opportunities to leverage advanced insights within Pharmacy Pricing and Planning, and getting buy-in from senior leadership.

  • Technical & Execution Expertise: Overseeing the 'how'. This involves guiding the hands-on development of advanced insights solutions, ensuring adoption of technical best practices, and managing implementation from proof-of-concept to production.

  • Business Impact & Communication: Proving the 'so what?'. The goal is to drive measurable business value. You must be a master storyteller, capable of communicating the impact of complex solutions to non-technical stakeholders to drive adoption and change.

What You'll Do:

  • Insight Generation: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of data analysis, model development, and insights generation. Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for senior leadership and business stakeholders.

  • AI/ML Solution Development: Drive the design, development, validation, and deployment of scalable AI/ML models (e.g., predictive analytics, natural language processing, optimization algorithms) to address key business challenges.

  • Data Governance & Management: Partner with Data Engineering teams to ensure data quality, accessibility, and governance standards are met for all analytical initiatives within the Pharmacy & Health domain.

  • Innovation & Best Practices: Stay abreast of the latest data and software development approaches, implementing best practices to ensure cutting-edge solutions.

What You'll Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in an analytical field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.

  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in data science, machine learning, or quantitative analysis roles, with demonstrated results.

    • Experience in the retail pharmacy, health care, or pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python. Exposure to cloud environments is essential, with GCP experience preferred.

    • Familiarity with AI services and tools (e.g., Vertex AI, Langchain, Shakudo, etc.) is an asset

    • Proven experience working with large datasets and advanced analytical tools for the purpose of statistical modeling, experimental design, and/or identifying causal inferences.

    • Preferred candidate will have some experience in various AI/ML techniques, including supervised/unsupervised learning, predictive modeling, time series analysis, natural language processing (NLP), and/or Retrieval-Augmented Generation

  • Leadership & Soft Skills:

    • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to connect technical solutions to business value.

    • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
