Senior Analyst, Promotion - 12 Month Contract

Reporting to the Director, Promotions, nofrills, the Senior Analyst, Promotions, nofrills is accountable for providing key support in achieving promotional investment targets and guiding promotional activity, nationally. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Director, Promotions, nofrills in tailoring activities to nofrills strategy with the goal of contributing to sales and market share growth through conducting historical analysis and monitoring the execution and results of nofrills promotional programs. 

 

Accountabilities: 

 

Promotion Planning 

  • Maintain and update the Merchandising Calendar & Instructions as required and communicate program details to both internal and external stakeholders (Category Team, Promo & Allocations Team and Franchisees)
  • Assist in creating the weekly and maintaining flyer cell assignments i.e. front page, inside page, programs and analytics to support the decision 
  • Use historical sales data and the promotional effectiveness tool, model profitability scenarios in order to identify and communicate opportunities for improved promotional sales and profitability 
  • Conduct promotion specific historical analysis to assist in item selection, provide recommendations on most profitable category to highlight and appropriate price points 
  • Monitor execution and results of all promotions and in store programs 

 

Promotion Execution 

  • Verify the flow of data in Promotional Systems 
  • Confirm planning timelines have been met by category team 
  • Reporting – review daily sales report to verify data integrity, conduct comparison review to previous year’s results  
  • Competitive review – do a comparison review, highlight issues and opportunities 
  • Responsible for requesting and set up of program #’s, theme codes, and coupons as required 
  • Proofing item pricing and completion of items in flyer, compared to BY  

 

Requirements 

  • Post-secondary education – Business or Retail related programs
  • Previous experience in retail operations an asset
  • Ability to contribute to promotional programs in line with nofrills strategies 
  • Intermediate computer skills required (Microsoft suite, specifically Excel). 
  • Ability to work in a highly organized manner where attention to detail and accuracy are critical. 
  • Experience with Loblaw systems preferred (JDA ADV, Blue Yonder, Micro-strategy, ABI, SAP). 
  • Excelled interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively autonomously and contribute effectively as part of a team.

Hiring Range / Échelle salariale à l’embauche :

$60,000.00 - $82,500.00 / 60.000,00$ - 82.500,00$ (per year / par an)
