Senior Analyst, Digital Merchandising

Why is this role important?
Role Overview:
In this role the Senior Analyst, Digital Merchandising will be accountable for improving conversion and engagement on the site to support the overall growth of the Shoppers Drug Mart eCommerce business. They will be responsible for all tasks related to site merchandising and product performance including site planning, analysis, and reporting while contributing to strategic planning and initiatives. This position will report to the Manager, Digital Merchandising.
What you’ll do:
Leading site planning process to support key business and marketing priorities
Collaborate with design and other creative functions to oversee execution of site and promotional plan
Support seasonal marketing and key initiatives through merchandising/re-merchandising and strategic site placement of products
Ensure all products are strategically merchandised on the site in a visually pleasing way to optimize product performance, conversion & engagement
Assist with on-site merchandising activities such as maintaining navigation, creating new pages, etc.
Support the team in creating and executing the online promotional calendar
Work closely with partners across the business including Category teams, Marketing, Product and Tech to optimize customer experience, increase conversion
Leverage data, customer behavior and feedback to identify opportunities for business growth
Share ideas for A/B testing and optimization (driven by data), always focusing on providing a better customer experience
Ad hoc Reporting as needed to support the business needs

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about retail and connecting customers with their favorite brands and products.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce
Experience in Ecommerce, Digital Merchandising
Exceptional analytical skills and proven capability to independently work with relevant tools (Excel, other internal tools)
Well organized and able to complete multiple tasks accurately under tight time constraints
Comfort working with ambiguity and pushing through barriers to find a solution
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to motivate and collaborate with a cross-functional team towards a common goal
Preferred 2-4 years experience in eCommerce, site merchandising, or related field.
Experience with JIRA, CODA, Miro, FIgma, & Excel, is an asset.
