Overview:

Be a part of the largest Real Estate Division in Canadian retail history! We continue to evolve and innovate the supermarket landscape across Western Canada, with exciting new concepts in both traditional and unconventional assets. This is your opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience that will prove useful throughout your career.

We are excited to be hiring a summer student within the Real Estate team. This is a great opportunity to be a part of the team that supports all real estate initiatives in Western Canada for Shoppers Drug Mart, whether that be new stores, existing assets and/or divisional support.  

What You’ll Do:

  • Set up Capital meeting decks for 2025 and Special Projects
  • Enhance current Disposition and Ancillary Leasing databases through site analysis and automation of documentation in Excel
  • Create Lease Summaries for all 2025/2026 Lease Renewals, provide lease abstracts
  • Land Evaluations for Options to Purchase in Western Canada and National Dispositions
  • Supply Chain Lease Tracker Update
  • Learn how Tango is utilized by the Real Estate Team
  • Develop a 5-year plan deck for Western Region on network opportunities
  • Site visits based on above listed projects

What You’ll Need:

  • Able to learn in a quick paced environment
  • Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Be able to work well individually and/or in groups
  • Insightful; giving new perspectives & identifying paths beyond the status quo
  • Engaging; a person who makes connections and builds trust
  • Motivated; determined to pursue excellence, deliver on commitments and aim towards success
  • Confident in problem solving skills
  • Must have good communication, presentation, written and multi-tasking skills
  • Valid Driver’s License and access to vehicle for travel

Additional Beneficial Skills:

  • Background in Real Estate, Geography and/or Business
  • Able to multi-task and co-ordinate multiple projects

Hiring Range / Échelle salariale à l’embauche :

$36,200.00 - $98,200.00 / 36.200,00$ - 98.200,00$ (per year / par an)
