The pay range for the co-op student role will reflect factors such as the candidate's experience, academic level, and the specific skillset required for the role.
Loblaw has adopted the following hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues can work remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).
Role Mandate:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Student to join our Non-Food Quality Assurance Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and project management within a dynamic environment and a team committed to continuous improvement. You will gain a unique opportunity to contribute to initiatives that directly ensure the safety and quality of products and gain practical experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and project support.
Accountabilities
- Assist Sr Quality Assurance Specialist in the comprehensive review of the existing product testing program, including data collection, analysis of current processes, and identification of areas for enhancement.
- Organize and analyze product testing data, labelling requirements, vendor performance metrics, and complaint data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting minutes. Assist in drafting and updating Standard Operating Procedures and other relevant documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across Loblaw Brands to gather, synthesize, and analyze relevant data.
- Work with 3rd party service providers to gather insights on emerging quality assurance trends, new testing methodologies, and evolving regulatory landscapes relevant to applicable non food product categories.
Skills, Knowledge and Education:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in a relevant field such as Science, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret data.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (for data analysis), Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- An interest in quality assurance, consumer product safety, or regulatory affairs is a strong asset.
