Project Manager, Supply Chain Systems - Brampton, ON
Canada's largest food retailer is looking for a Project Manager, Supply Chain Systems to help build the plan and strategies to enable Manhattan Active across the Loblaw DC network. Working closely with the Sr Manager, this position will be supporting the development of strategic plans as well as delivery of key strategic delivery and governance. This position provides the opportunity to engage and work with various business stakeholders across Loblaw Technology and the vendor community.
The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding, influencing, and enabling projects that link to the overall Manhattan Active program strategy, while ensuring an optimal and seamless end user experience as well as supporting and developing the strategy and vision for the future capabilities. Our goal is to modernize and enhance the end user experience by providing new features and capabilities that unlock additional productivity and efficiencies in the warehouse. The candidate will be required to implement rigor and processes that allow for the development of plans while executing with precision and authority.
What You’ll Do:
Own the planning cycle, including the definition of overall portfolio strategies and routine monitoring and adjustments through the year.
Prepare strategy, documentations, presentations and make recommendations for technical / functional aspects related to the application roadmap.
Advocate for existing DCs and build capability roadmap for continuous value add features, driving their implementation.
Communication to build confidence and line of sight to net new capabilities.
Lead and coordinate meetings and discussions internally within Loblaw Technology and with business stakeholders to help drive the prioritization and planning.
Build partnerships with DC operations and business leads to develop strategy and sequencing of improvements and recommendations as well as align internal and vendor plans to deliver value.
Support reporting and analytics to understand and interpret the data to provide outputs and value through the data.
Support cross functional teams and projects while being able to collaborate and provide insights across the teams.
A continuous improvement and proactive mindset to push the business forward.
Develop process maps and day in the life of storyboarding to help influence decisions and projects while keeping the experience top of mind.
Proactively manage expectations to cope with changing and conflicting priorities.
Ability to influence without authority and provide insights and well thought out messages that resonate with the team.
What you Bring:
Experienced professional that sees themselves as dynamic, adaptable, self-starting, curious, willing to act and excited by ambiguity.
Collaborative approach & values teamwork.
Strong written and oral communications skills that showcase the ability to synthesize complexity into a concise, compelling, and cohesive story to both technical and non-technical audiences. We are looking for a strong storyteller.
Hands on experience building and communicating roadmaps and strategies.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to consolidate and simplify complex problems into a recommendation and or plan
Ability to learn new skills and apply them quickly and efficiently.
Ability to lead conversations and discussions to outcomes and impacts.
Understands project and portfolio management and can see big picture / macro level insights to sequence and deliver in a logical way.
Understanding of workflows and data / process mapping.
Ability to think creatively to solve problem and / or proactively implement solutions for expected issue.
Experience developing and implementing strategic change plans, governance models and technology roadmaps.
What You’ve Done:
Experience and knowledge in the Agile Delivery Framework.
Experience in IT project management.
Strong ability with Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, JIRA & Confluence tools.
Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in a related discipline.
Nice to haves include experience with retail technology (i.e supply chain and information technology) and/or an MBA or similar degree.
Minimum of 5 years of industry or consulting experience related directly to Cloud technology implementations.
