At Loblaw Digital, we know that our customers expect the best from us. Whether that means building the best, most innovative online shopping experiences, or designing an app that will impact the lives of people across the country, we’re up for the challenge. From our office in Downtown Toronto, we’ve created leading eCommerce experiences in the online grocery shopping, beauty, pharmacy, and apparel spaces, and we’re only just getting started.
Why is this role important?
As a Product Manager on our Digital Health team, you will help shape and deliver new Virtual Care capabilities within our Shoppers Drug Mart business. This initiative connects patients and nurses in a virtual setting and is expanding its offering and core platform capabilities.
You will own key features that simplify and improve the patient and nursing experience, support safe and compliant virtual care delivery, and drive measurable digital health outcomes. You will work closely with pharmacy operations, nursing teams, engineering, design, analytics, privacy, regulatory, and business stakeholders to connect digital experiences with in-person care operations.
You will use data, experimentation, user feedback, and stakeholder insights to inform product priorities, make trade-offs, and evolve the product roadmap.
What You’ll Do
Own and evolve the roadmap for key Virtual Care capabilities, balancing patient needs, nursing workflows, business priorities, technical feasibility, and regulatory considerations.
Lead product discovery and translate insights into clear problems, hypotheses, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
Manage and refine the product backlog in partnership with engineering, design, analytics, and business stakeholders.
Use quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities, run experiments, evaluate impact, and guide roadmap decisions.
Partner with nursing, pharmacy operations, regulatory, privacy, engineering, design, and leadership teams to align priorities and manage trade-offs.
Support successful delivery and launch of product features, including communication, change readiness, measurement, and post-launch optimization.
What You’ll Bring
Typically 3+ years of Product Management experience, ideally with digital products, consumer-facing platforms, healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated environments.
Strong product judgment, including the ability to break down ambiguous problems, define MVPs, make trade-offs, and focus teams on measurable outcomes.
Experience working in agile product development environments, including backlog refinement, user story writing, prioritization, and cross-functional delivery.
A data-driven mindset, with comfort defining metrics, interpreting product data, using user feedback, and making evidence-informed decisions.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across clinical, operational, technical, regulatory, and business teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly present recommendations, risks, trade-offs, and product decisions to leadership.
Nice to Have
Experience in healthcare, digital health, pharmacy, virtual care, insurance, bioscience, or another regulated industry.
Familiarity with the Canadian healthcare, pharmacy, privacy, or regulatory environment.
Experience designing products for multi-sided user journeys, such as patients, clinicians, operations teams, and support teams.
What Success Looks Like
The Virtual Care journey is patient-centred, operationally practical, aligned to company priorities, and informed by patient, nursing, pharmacy, and stakeholder needs.
Product priorities are clear, well-communicated, and grounded in data, user feedback, business value, and risk assessment.
Key journey metrics improve, such as patient access, completion rates, satisfaction, adoption, drop-off reduction, nurse workflow efficiency, and support/contact rates.
Cross-functional partners understand the roadmap, decision rationale, timelines, risks, and trade-offs.
Product releases are delivered predictably, measured after launch, and iterated based on evidence.
Privacy, regulatory, patient safety, and operational risks are surfaced early and managed with the appropriate partners.
Note: This role is hybrid - 4 days in office and 1 day remote.
