Job Description
We’re seeking a Producer to lead the delivery of production across assigned portfolios, driving delivery excellence and client leadership across all mediums — from digital to print and broadcast. This role is critical in ensuring every initiative moves seamlessly from strategy and creative development through production, approval and delivery, while maintaining quality, timelines, budget and stakeholder confidence.
As a key operational partner, you’ll be the connective tissue that keeps work moving, teams aligned and deliverables on track — taking full charge of production projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with agency experience who brings a strong production point of view, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to lead a production through complex workflows involving creative, account and client teams, balancing competing priorities and proactively managing risk at every stage of the production lifecycle.
This role is based in Toronto/GTA. The Producer will report to the Head of Production and work alongside a team of agency producers supporting various brand initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Own end-to-end execution of production across assigned portfolios, delivering on time, on budget and to quality standards
Collaborate with creative, account and client teams to bring campaigns and strategies to life on schedule and within budget
Translate approved strategies and creative into actionable production plans, timelines and deliverables, acting as primary point of contact between agency teams and external vendors
Develop and manage project budgets through bidding, production estimate creation and project reconciliation
Coordinate pre-production activities, including asset requirements, approvals and handoffs
Anticipate and mitigate risks related to timelines, dependencies, approvals, scope and resourcing before they impact delivery or quality
Cultivate strong relationships with agency, client and vendor partners
Guide creative teams through concepting and production, ensuring ideas are feasible and aligned with business goals and constraints
Optimize workflows and resource use, regularly reassessing production processes to create efficiencies
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies — including AI-powered production tools — to streamline workflows and elevate creative output
Work with the Head of Production to drive delivery excellence across portfolios and evolve delivery best practices, tools and processes
What You’ll Bring
Agency experience required. A background in a creative agency environment is a must, with additional production experience (film & TV, production company) an asset
5+ years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of leading, managing and delivering complex projects
Demonstrated ability to lead a production end-to-end and be the expert in the room on all things production
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and direct cross-functional teams
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Deep working knowledge of production workflows, project management tools and production software
Proficient in Mac OS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Adobe Creative Suite an asset
Nice to Have
Strong knowledge of the production landscape in Toronto/ROC and ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships
Familiarity with content production for digital and integrated marketing campaigns
Experience contributing to process improvement and operational excellence initiatives
How You’ll Succeed
Portfolios run smoothly with no surprises late in the process — risks get caught and resolved early, not discovered at delivery
Creative, account and client teams trust you as the person who keeps complex productions on track without micromanaging
Budgets land where they were scoped, with variances flagged and explained before they become problems
Vendors and partners want to work with you again. You negotiate fairly and communicate clearly under pressure
