Produce Assistant Department Manager Full Time Day

We're looking for talented, passionate leaders with a proven record of delighting customers and growing sales.

In this exciting role you will:

  • Order product, receive orders, check invoices, create displays, follow merchandising directives ensuring sufficient quality and fresh product availability.

  • Assist and support in guiding, training and supervising employees.

  • Act as a back up to the Manager, overseeing the departments operations in their absence.

  • Rotate and stock tables and counters ensuring product meets our freshness and quality standards.

  • Review product movement and promotions to ensure appropriate inventory are maintained.

  • Ensure inventory levels contribute to a good in stock position and minimize waste.

  • To solve any customer/employee complaints or problems while left in charge of the department.

  • Ensure the safety and sanitation of the department meet company and legislative policies and standards.

  • To perform other duties, as assigned.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • A solid focus on providing exceptional customer service.

  • Previous experience working with produce in a retail environment

  • Available to work a variety of hours including days, evenings, and weekends.

  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities.

  • Previous leadership experience is required.

  • Excellent organization, planning and communication skills.

  • Food Handlers certificate would be a plus.
