The Journey to Franchise Ownership:
Flexibility & Mobility:
- The ideal candidate is open to traveling nationally throughout the program and willing to relocate (provincially or nationally) for franchise opportunities as business needs arise.
Operational Excellence:
- You'll leverage your store experience to contribute to impactful Operational Special Projects, always upholding NOFRILLS' core values. You'll utilize your knowledge of operational and merchandising standards, along with efficient processes, to drive sales and EBIT. Past projects within the business have included and are not limited to:
- Supporting store systems rollouts and sustainability initiatives (SAP, Workday, STAS)
- Assisting in managing banner-wide initiatives
- Collaborating with Owners, Specialists, and District Managers to build a diverse retail market
- Leading in-store projects as assigned
- Actively managing stores to support smooth business transitions
Mentorship & Leadership Development:
- You'll engage in a formal mentorship program, shadowing a successful Franchisees and working closely with their teams and the local community. This hands-on experience will equip you with essential leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
Comprehensive Training & Development:
- You'll participate in engaging in-class training modules, complete assigned projects, organize community events, and take on other enriching duties as assigned.
Qualifications for success:
We’re seeking passionate individuals with a strong foundation in the grocery and/or retail industry with a commitment to community engagement. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of proven managerial experience and 5 years in the grocery industry.
- Excellent knowledge of grocery retail operations, including store systems (SAP, STAS, etc.), MS Office proficiency, and a strong understanding of financial reports (P&L, COS, etc.).
- A genuine passion for making a difference and a demonstrated commitment to supporting the local community.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in unionized or non-union environments, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a talent for building lasting relationships with customers.
- Willingness to travel for special projects and relocate (provincially or nationally) for franchise opportunities upon program completion.
