Media Strategist - 12 Month Contract

Why this Role is Important
The Specialist, reporting to the Manager, will be responsible for assisting the team with 360 media planning, execution, and reporting of campaigns across a variety of internal consumer brands. A successful candidate will have excellent analytical, communication, and organization skills to manage, team processes, upkeep of documentation, and campaign reporting/trafficking. This individual will also support and collaborate in the development of Tier 2 and 3 media plans, ensuring high quality execution working with multi-functional teams. The candidate needs to be client-obsessed and a team player, ensuring our partners receive an exceptional level of service and attention to campaign optimizations. What You Will Do
Media Execution: Support and/or lead Tier 2 and Tier 3 media programs from brief through creative trafficking, billing, and post-campaign reporting across national, market-specific, and store-level initiatives in partnership with agencies and vendors.
Creative Coordination: Collaborate with internal media teams, external agencies, and creative partners to traffic and deliver campaign assets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with brand teams and the Loblaw Agency to support the development and execution of 360° campaign strategies.
Performance Monitoring: Review digital, social, and search performance metrics, providing timely recommendations to address issues and optimize results.
Financial Stewardship: Support financial management through BCR tracking, invoice approvals, and creation of purchase orders and scope-of-work documents.
Project & Process Management: Maintain project timelines with work-back schedules, secure stakeholder approvals, and provide regular status updates to ensure smooth execution.
Strategic Adaptability: Communicate proactively with team leads, internal partners, and agencies to adjust strategies in response to changing market or competitive conditions.

Media Strategy & Execution: Deep knowledge of digital and traditional media tactics, with the ability to identify KPIs, benchmarks, and ensure execution that is consistently on-brand and on-target.
Problem-Solving & Innovation: Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose challenges, resolve issues with determination, and drive creative, out-of-the-box solutions while maintaining a growth mindset.
Organization & Delivery: Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, operate with urgency, and consistently achieve results in fast-paced environments.
Leadership & Collaboration: Strong project and people management capabilities; team-oriented with a passion for collaboration, fostering positive partnerships and high-performance outcomes.
Communication & Influence: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and build strong relationships across teams and stakeholders.
What You Bring
2-3 years of direct experience in developing, implementing, and executing media campaigns on client or agency side including budget and project management
Experienced in working with cross functional teams across internal and external clients.
University Degree or College Diploma in Communications/ Media/ Marketing/ Advertising or a related discipline is preferred.
We love to be upfront about our pay rates and as we pay our contractors an hourly rate, please note that the hourly range for this position is $23.38 per hour. Candidates are welcome to ask further questions regarding compensation during their screening interviews.
