At Loblaw, we are looking for a dedicated Manager, West Pricing & Merchandising to join our dynamic team. Help us deliver competitive pricing strategies and impactful promotional activities that resonate with our customers across all our stores.
You will report to the Category Director, collaborate with top Merchants, and work alongside a talented team that is data-driven, customer-focused, and passionate about retail excellence. What You'll Do:
•    Pricing Responsibilities:
o    Oversee price matching activities for advertisements and shelf pricing.
o    Manage target modeling to ensure competitive pricing strategies.
o    Perform daily maintenance to keep pricing accurate and up-to-date.
o    Monitor competitive communication activities and recommend appropriate responses.
•    Flyer Promotional Activities:
o    Alert Category Directors and Merchants about relevant competitive activities.
o    Input final flyer prices into SAP, making adjustments based on post-production price match activity.
•    Add or modify promotions using JDA software.
•    Monitor industry trends relative to competitive promotional activities.
•    Select and submit appropriate items for ad-matching or rush advertisements.
•    Proofread and approve advertisement content.
•    Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to manage stock levels effectively.
•    Additional Responsibilities:
o    Generate and manage reports using MicroStrategy/ABI tools.
o    Review pocket guides and floor planners to ensure optimal product placement across store layouts while maintaining pricing accuracy.
o    Handle ad hoc requests as they arise.
o    Assist Category Directors and Merchants with various requests as needed.
o    Provide store support by addressing portal issues, scan logs, emails, etc.
What You'll Need:
•    Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in Retail, Sales, Merchandising, or related fields preferred.
•    A proactive mindset with strong analytical skills.
•    Experience in managing pricing strategies or promotional activities is an asset.
•    Ability to influence without authority while collaborating efficiently with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, etc.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with SAP/JDA software is advantageous.
