As the Manager, Marketing & Control Brands – Technology Operations, you will play a critical role in evolving how Loblaw delivers marketing and product innovation by embedding technology and AI across our Marketing and Control Brands ecosystem.

This role goes beyond operational excellence—you will identify, pilot, and scale AI-driven and technology-enabled solutions that improve speed-to-market, personalization, and decision-making across campaigns and product lifecycles. You will act as a key connector between business, technology, and data teams, translating emerging capabilities into practical applications that drive measurable impact.

You will be instrumental in optimizing our marketing and Control Brand operations, ensuring our technology stack is effectively leveraged, and enabling teams to adopt new tools, workflows, and ways of working. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Marketing and Control Brands at Loblaw through innovation, continuous improvement, and strategic execution.

What You Will Do:

AI & Technology Enablement:

  • Identify, prioritize, and operationalize AI and automation use cases across Marketing and Control Brand workflows (e.g., campaign optimization, content generation, product lifecycle insights, forecasting). Partner with Loblaw Technology, Digital, and vendor teams to pilot and scale solutions, ensuring measurable business impact and adoption.

Technology Ecosystem Ownership:

  • Own the performance and evolution of the marketing and Control Brand technology stack, driving adoption, optimizing utilization, and identifying opportunities to enhance workflows through automation and advanced tooling. Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, compliance requirements, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Process Optimization & Workflow Transformation:

  • Redesign and optimize end-to-end marketing campaign and Control Brand product lifecycle processes, embedding automation and AI to improve efficiency, scalability, and speed-to-market. Champion continuous improvement and modern ways of working across teams.

Data Integrity & Governance:

  • Establish and uphold strong data governance practices across marketing and product systems, ensuring high-quality, reliable data to support decision-making, performance tracking, and AI-driven initiatives.

Campaign & Product Lifecycle Enablement:

  • Act as a strategic advisor to Marketing and Control Brand teams, enabling them to effectively adopt and scale technology and AI tools within day-to-day operations—from campaign execution to product development and launch.

Performance Reporting & Insights:

  • Partner with analytics teams to define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and OKRs. Translate data into actionable insights, identifying opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness, product performance, and operational efficiency.

Training, Adoption & Change Leadership:

  • Lead the development and governance of training programs, documentation, and change management strategies to drive adoption of marketing technologies and AI capabilities across the organization.

Strategic Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Build strong, collaborative partnerships with key internal teams (e.g., Loblaw Digital, Loblaw Technology, Marketing, Control Brands, Loblaw Media). Act as the voice of Marketing and Control Brands, ensuring business needs are represented in technology roadmaps and vendor engagements.

Innovation & Best Practices:

  • Continuously scan the external landscape for emerging marketing, product, and AI capabilities. Translate leading practices into scalable pilots and embed best-in-class approaches across Loblaw’s Marketing and Control Brand functions.
