As part of the PC Optimum Partnerships team at Loblaw, you will be part of a group that develops and operates the loyalty program experience for millions of Canadian customers on a daily basis.

We are hiring a Manager, Loyalty Partnerships. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Loyalty Partnerships, you will be part of the team that creates new opportunities and builds lasting partnerships for the PC Optimum program with leading consumer-facing businesses and brands. This role is critical in the ongoing relationship management of partner programs, as well as evaluating, negotiating, planning and implementing strategic initiatives for the loyalty program based on enterprise priorities. The Manager, Loyalty Partnerships will have a role that balances strategy and planning, with hands-on execution and program delivery. The role will have significant exposure to cross-functional teams, working collaboratively on a day-to-day basis with Technology, Digital, Marketing, Loyalty Operations, and Store Operations teams, to name a few.

Please note: This role will be based out of our downtown office at 500 Lake Shore Blvd W, Toronto, ON (4 days a week) however, some travel within the GTA across offices is required.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain the overall relationships and accountabilities for loyalty program partners

  • Strengthen partnership effectiveness through assessment and development of PC Optimum functionality, promotions and marketing strategies

  • Provide analytical insights into the performance of partner programs, based on trends in actual performance and benchmarks

  • Build relationships with new partners to develop customer-centric loyalty propositions

  • Develop loyalty integration / implementation plans and manage launch of new partners and strategic initiatives, working with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Prepare recommendations on the optimization of current programs

 

What You’ll Need

  • Post-secondary education equivalent to a university degree in business, finance, marketing or equivalent is preferred.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in partnerships management, management consulting, strategy or equivalent. Experience in retail or loyalty would be an asset.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; able to effectively communicate issues, actively engage and influence, and work collaboratively as a team member

  • Effective organizational skills with a strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects or workstreams

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the capability of building compelling presentations

  • Self-starter: demonstrated initiative and willingness to take ownership and learn

  • A creative thinker who is comfortable working with ambiguity, ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and work in a fast-paced environment
