Maintenance Supervisor
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the overall equipment maintenance of the Citrus Bagging Operation. The role requires a versatile individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to handle a wide range of maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
What you will do:
- Manage warehouse labour resources to complete tasks by priority deadline
- Oversee 3rd party service vendors
- Reconcile vendor work orders with vendor invoices
- Review daily reporting sheets to ensure repairs are made in a timely manner
- Functional over-sight of the MHE Damage Control Program
- Oversee the overall maintenance of the Citrus Bagging Operation
- Produce reports as require by the Maintenance Manager
- Schedule labour in the Maintenance area
- Substitute as department head in the absence of the Maintenance Manager
- Other duties as assigned or requested
What you will need:
- Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting skills
- Millwright experience is considered an asset
- Excellent understanding of building maintenance and repair
- Experience with vehicle and/or equipment service and repair
- Working knowledge of equipment and tools used for MHE service
- Must be detail orientated
- Excellent follow-through skills
- Experienced in data entry
- Computer applications using MS office
- Computer applications experience using SAP or warehouse operating system desired
- Working knowledge of OH&S, Transport Canada, WHMIS, Health Canada regulations and the willingness to become certified in one or more of these areas as necessary
- Experience in overseeing/directing vendors
- Excellent supervisory skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills to support decision making
- Efficient time management skills and an effective ability to prioritize
