Engineering Summer Student
Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking to fill an intern position for the summer months. The student will assist the Construction and Engineering Department at the Calgary Office. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the head of the west engineering department with activities related to the engineering of supermarkets and pharmacies.
Description of tasks:
• Participate in special projects such as the review of details and standards used for the construction of supermarkets and pharmacies
• Occasionally visit construction sites with the project manager
• Review of plans and documents
• Assist with the preparation of presentations.
• Interpret and organize archived plans
Skills:
• The candidate must be enrolled in studies related to construction, civil engineering or architecture
• Good understanding of plan and specifications.
• Ability to work independently, good initiative and well organized
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
• Good knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat
