Director, PC Express (PCx) Operations (18 Month Contract)

The Director of PC Express (PCx) Operations overseas PCx Operations across the Super.Market divisions banners including Loblaws, Zehrs, Market Franchise, Provigo, Fortino’s and Wholesale and ensures the PCx team delivers exceptional service to our customers. Please note that this position is an 18-month contract.

 

In this position you would be responsible for overseeing the performance of PC Express in each location, ensuring the execution of standard operational processes & innovations, focusing on key performance indicators for each store, including store engagement, sales, operational execution, cost control and optimizing efficiencies. Drive the PCX strategy within the store operations environment and provide input for improving the customer and colleague experiences.  Also, participate as part of the operations leadership team alongside the RVPs and Group Directors.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operational execution of online grocery (e.g. PC Express).
  • Develop operational strategies to meet OSAT, sales and labour objectives.
  • Lead a team of PCX Specialists across the country, setting objectives and collaborating on plans for improving store and regional performance.
  • Partner with operational leadership teams in the field to share metrics, store performance and collaborate on strategies for improvement.
  • Ensure successful execution of programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Loblaw Digital team on new initiatives and improvements that will drive sales and improve the customer experience.  Also engage cross functionally with Supply Chain, Merchandising, IT and Marketing.
  • Develop initiatives designed to increase employee engagement, improve labour productivity, and improve  in-store colleague experience.
  • Perform financial and on-site operational reviews of services, analyzing and comparing budgets to actual data for order volumes, order fulfillment rate (in-stock), items per order, picking rates, labor usage, customers, and the overall economics of the cost impact as a % of sales for the PCx business
  • Provide weekly and periodic updates to senior leaders in the business.
  • Responsible to understand the competitive landscape and provide input into formulating competitive strategies to drive the online business.

 

Job Qualifications            

  • 7+ years’ retail operations experience for large retail chains, grocery store operations experience is preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Management or a related discipline.
  • Ability to travel across the country.
  • Working knowledge of process improvement and supporting methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including developing relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Experience in retail operations with P & L accountability.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to coach and develop strong interactive teams
  • Strong problem solver with analytical skills and financial acumen with the ability to make sound decisions under rapidly changing conditions.
  • System skills (familiarity with in-store systems such as SAP, POS) and Microsoft Suite.

$128,000.00 - $176,000.00 / 128.000,00$ - 176.000,00$ (per year / par an)
