As a key finance leader within our supermarket division, the Director of Finance – Operations will play a critical role in supporting the financial and operational success of our franchise business. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape financial strategies that directly impact our franchise partners, retail store performance, and customer experience across our grocery banners.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and execute financial strategies that support franchise operations and long-term growth across our Super Market banners.
- Franchise Partner Support: Function as a key finance liaison to our franchise partners, providing data-driven insights and financial guidance to help them achieve their operational and profitability targets.
- Operational Finance Excellence: Partner with operations leaders to identify efficiencies and drive improvements across store-level operations, merchandising execution and other key functions.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Lead comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, and business performance reporting for franchise-related activities.
- Team Leadership: Build and inspire a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, development, and innovation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with functions including merchandising, operations, business development, and analytics to ensure financial alignment across strategic initiatives.
What You'll Need
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA designation strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in a senior finance or business partnership role, ideally with experience supporting franchise operations in the retail, grocery, or consumer packaged goods sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, Hyperion, and other financial systems; advanced Excel and data modeling skills.
- Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to work with and influence franchise partners, operations teams, and senior leadership.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights that drive business performance.
