Micheal's Independent is looking for a bakery manager to lead our bakery.

Duties & Responsibilities:

As a member of Michael's Independent management team, you will conduct yourself with integrity and are commited to providing the best possible service and or products to customers, staff and clients. The responsibilities of the bakery manager include but are not limited to the following:

Actively managing the high volume production of baked goods, which includes: ordering and inventory control, food safety and quality assurance, baking operations, supporting recipe creations, etc.

Manage the workflow of all bakery production activities throughout the kitchen and review all practices, procedures, personnel, and equipment to drive continuous improvement.

Training and coaching bakery staff to ensure food quality, production speed, and health and safety practices are continuously met.

Maintain a hands-on approach to management with a strong presence working in bakery.

Maximizing production efficiencies, while maintaining high quality standards.

Driving continuous improvement efforts and implementing impactfil change.

Maintaining a pulse on industry trents and collaborating a drive food innovation.

Adhering to all company policies, procedures and practices.

Performing HR and administrative duties, including: scheduling, providing information for payroll purposes.

Maintaining a clean, organized production and storage space.

Additional duties as required.

Skillset requirements:

Passion for food- you are a true foodie at heart!

Dedication to delivering high quality, consistent products to retail stores-

3-5 year of leadership experience managing a bakery department.

Hands on approach to leadership.

Knowladge of food production including production planning, inventory management and food safety.

Excellent organization and time management.
