Department Manager - Franchise

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise and co-ordinate store clerks in receiving, handling and storing of merchandise to achieve optimal results
  • Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise
  • Check invoices and product qualities, submit claims for shortages, quality issues
  • Resolve issues that may arise including customer request, complaints and supply shortages
  • Adhere to company standards and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed
  • Perform front-end duties including cashiering as necessary occasionally
  • Perform key holding and act as manager on duty as required
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned

Qualifications/Experience

  • Ability to lead, supervise the store staff in a efficient and effective manner
  • Ability to learn and apply No Frills programs and computer operating systems
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs/13.6 kg, standing, bending and walking for long periods of time
  • Working with power equipment, loading and unloading trailers.
  • Ability to operate manual and powered jacks
  • Open availability
  • Previous Grocery/Perishable department store experience preferred but training could be provided to the right candiadte.
