We’re looking for a Data Science Co-op to work on exciting projects such as the Multimodal Recommendation Engine, applying state-of-the-art machine learning techniques, to deliver personalized customer experiences.
What you'll do
Collaborate with data science/ machine learning engineers, and product teams to address business problems and develop data-driven solutions.
Develop and optimize a Multimodal Recommendation Engine using advanced deep learning techniques for processing user behavior, item features, offer data, and contextual signals.
Implement and optimize machine learning models for large-scale recommendation systems to enhance the relevance and accuracy of recommendations.
Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and identify opportunities for model optimization and business impact.
Work with large-scale datasets using tools like PySpark, SQL, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., GCP) to process and analyze data efficiently.
Assist in deploying machine learning models and integrating them into production systems to ensure scalability and performance.
Communicate findings and recommendations through visualizations and presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
Currently enrolled in a Master's, or Ph.D. program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Strong experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow) and implementing neural network architectures.
Experience with programming languages such as Python for data analysis and modeling.
Familiarity with SQL and working with databases.
Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to think critically about data and its applications.
Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate in a team environment.
Bonus: Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure), big data tools or data visualization tools (e.g., Looker).
