Creative Lead (12-Month Contract)

Why is this role important?
The Creative Lead plays a key role in shaping digital creative across app, web, email, and marketing. This role blends hands-on design and content thinking with leadership, partnering closely with copywriters, designers, content strategists, product teams, and marketing.
The Creative Lead provides direct support to the Creative Director and helps guide the day-to-day creative workflow for the team.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office at our Bathurst & Lakeshore office.
What you’ll do:
· Lead the creation of high-quality digital assets across app, web, email, social, and paid media.
· Develop and articulate creative concepts with strong visual and narrative cohesion.
· Work within and evolve brand and Figma systems including components, templates, and libraries.
· Partner closely with copy, design, and content teams throughout ideation and execution.
· Explore new ways to speed creative delivery using templates, systems, and AI tools.
· QA creative and copy assets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
· Ensure that digital products can be experienced by everyone by applying a strong understanding of AODA design requirements and accessibility best practices.
· Provide day-to-day support to the Creative Director including checkpoints, reviews, feedback, and team alignment activities.
· Support the Creative Director in defining creative direction and maintaining high standards.
· Mentor and guide designers and copy partners with a positive and collaborative approach.
· Participate in reviews, provide clear feedback, and ensure work is production ready.
· Keep cameras on during meetings to support team connection and communication.
Does this sound like you?
· 5 to 7 years of experience in digital creative across design, content, art direction, or hybrid roles.
· Strong digital craft including visual design, storytelling, layout, typography, and UX awareness.
· Expert Figma skills and strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
· Ability to concept, iterate, and present ideas clearly to stakeholders.
· Positive, solutions-focused attitude when mentoring and collaborating with the team.
· Comfortable balancing hands-on work with supporting others.
· Interest in exploring new creative tools including AI-assisted workflows.
· Experience working on platforms such as Jira and Coda considered an asset
· Bonus: experience in motion design, prototyping, or working with EN and FR.
