Bilingual Senior Analyst, People Data Management (Workday) - French/English

Reporting to the Manager, People Services (Payroll and People Data Management), the Bilingual Senior Analyst, People Data Management plays a critical role in supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving the organization’s People data ecosystem, with a primary focus on Workday HCM. This role is responsible for end-to-end support for people data and core HR system processes, including complex HCM issues and transactions, while ensuring data integrity, operational excellence, compliance, and a positive colleague experience.

The role combines hands-on data management, advanced system support, data governance, audit reporting, quality control checks, year-end tasks, and process improvement. The Senior Analyst acts as a trusted subject matter resource and key liaison between HR partners, business stakeholders, HR Technology, and internal and external partners. This role also exercises leadership by assisting the manager with daily departmental tasks, coaching colleagues, supporting escalations, reviewing strategic KPIs, and helping ensure operations align with company SOPs, SLAs, team goals, and core values.

Key Accountabilities:

People Data & Workday Operational Support

  • Support complex Workday HCM business processes, including corrections, rescinds, cancellations, escalations, and resolution of stale or stuck transactions.

  • Action and monitor Workday inbox tasks, “To Do,” and “Review” steps across core HCM processes, including employee changes and work permit reviews.

  • Perform manual data updates where automation is unavailable, ensuring accuracy across all worker types, including employees, contingent workers, and Board members.

  • Maintain employee master data and ensure data accuracy, validation, availability, and integrity across the employee lifecycle.

  • Direct, guide, or support operations by providing specialized People Data and Workday services, with emphasis on timeliness, cost-effectiveness, and managed risk-taking.

End User, Case & Complex Issue Support

  • Provide support for colleagues and HR partners across the enterprise, troubleshooting system errors, data issues, complex HCM transactions, and business process questions.

  • Deliver coaching and guidance in English and French to users on Workday navigation and more complex HR processes.

  • Create, track, and manage support cases and incident tickets, ensuring proper categorization, escalation, and resolution within defined SLAs.

  • Partner with functional, technical, reporting, and data teams to resolve issues requiring cross-functional collaboration.

  • Identify recurring user issues and contribute to knowledge base content, job aids, training materials, and self-service resources.

Data Governance, Audits & Integrity

  • Perform standardized data audits, quality control checks, and audit reporting to ensure compliance, accuracy, and alignment with governance standards.

  • Oversee year-end audits, year-end tasks, and necessary reporting to support People Services compliance and operational integrity.

  • Analyze data and process issues, providing root cause analysis and timely recommendations based on qualitative and quantitative findings.

  • Partner with HR Reporting and Technology teams to develop, refine, and monitor audit reports, controls, and strategic KPIs.

  • Ensure data integrity to support downstream processes and integrations, including payroll, benefits, banking, and identity access management.

Leadership, Collaboration & Daily Operations

  • Assist the manager in supervising departmental tasks and ensuring daily operations adhere to company SOPs, SLAs, priorities, and service delivery standards.

  • Provide training, support, coaching, and guidance to new and existing colleagues while fostering ongoing learning and development.

  • Understand and resolve complex issues, manage escalations, and build collaborative internal and external business relationships.

  • Contribute to the hiring process, provide feedback on colleague performance, and consistently model core company values.

  • Direct colleagues’ daily work activities within the department or through cross-functional teams, including leading project teams with members from different functions.

Mass Data Changes, Testing & Continuous Improvement

  • Support and execute mass and centralized data changes using tools such as Enterprise Integration Builder, including intake, impact assessment, testing, and implementation.

  • Manage complex organizational changes such as reorganizations, cost center updates, location cleanups, role realignments, and workforce transitions.

  • Create and maintain test data scenarios in Workday test environments to support system testing, enhancements, integrations, and business readiness.

  • Actively participate in meetings, analyze existing processes, create detailed process documentation, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

  • Recommend and execute process improvement initiatives, and lead or monitor small projects, training, and testing efforts that may directly or indirectly impact productivity.

Role Requirements:

  • Post secondary education, college or university, in a related field.

  • Must be fully bilingual in French and English, spoken and written.

  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in HR Operations, HRIS, or People Systems, with Workday HCM experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of HR processes, the end-to-end employee lifecycle, SOPs, SLAs, KPIs, and data governance standards.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting HR data governance, data integrity, audit reporting, quality control, year-end activities, and compliance processes.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and the ability to provide timely recommendations.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, escalations, small projects, and cross-functional work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

  • Collaborative, service-oriented team player with a passion for learning, training, leadership, and continuous improvement.

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
