Why This Role is Important:
The Assistant Manager, Marketing supports the planning and execution of retail, digital and paid media campaigns across The Mobile Shop, PC Mobile, and No Name Mobile. Reporting to the Senior Manager, PC Services Marketing, this is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, curious and analytical marketing professional to build skills and experience in end-to-end planning and execution of strategic, multi-channel campaigns that combine digital, enterprise and in-store marketing tactics to drive sales and deliver an excellent customer experience.
In this role, you will provide key support in the execution of key acquisition programs, lead in store marketing and events, drive improvement through test & learn and lead project delivery - working closely with cross-functional teams and external agency partners to make it all happen. You’ll join a fast-paced team focused on growing retail and digital businesses.
What You'll Do:
- Support planning and lead execution of prepaid campaigns for PC Mobile and No Name Mobile, including everyday value proposition and promotional offers across a full retail calendar of multi-channel campaigns.
- Lead planning and execution of multi-channel lead generation program, including in-store events, always on paid media program, website, and contests. Working closely with the district managers, digital marketing, and retail marketing teams.
- Own execution of organic social media content calendar, including planning seasonal moments, content creation, and offer amplification.
- Support the Senior Manager on initiatives that drive brand awareness for The Mobile Shop, including campaign planning and execution
- Lead the execution of campaigns and projects, working with external agency partners, internal counterparts, translation, legal and finance to ensure all angles are covered and approved
- Write clear partner briefs that guide the teams to deliver high performing creative, media, digital, etc programs and projects
- Own the monthly finances associated with your projects and programs
What You Bring:
- 2-3 years of experience in marketing within a services related industry with hands-on experience managing and executing on multi-channel campaigns
- University degree with a specialization in Marketing, Business, Commerce or equivalent field
- Creative experience – either hands-on or working with an agency partner to finalize plans (Canva experience is an asset)
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders to deliver impactful marketing programs
- Highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management skills, capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects
- Entrepreneurial mindset, ability to proactively identify opportunities and suggest solutions for problems
- Driven to deliver constant improvements and suggest new ideas to drive customer acquisition
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Retail or telecom marketing experience is an asset
- A strong understanding of CASL requirements is considered an asset
