Become a pivotal force in shaping the future of learning at Loblaw! This role is for a curious and critical-thinking problem-solver eager to dive deep into Workday Learning, optimizing our platform to empower over 200,000 colleagues. You'll join a highly collaborative team, working hand-in-hand with our Learning & Development experts, where continuous skill advancement and shared Workday expertise are championed every day.

Please note that this Colleague will be expected to be onsite at our Brampton office for 4 days a week.

What you'll do:

  • Build and cultivate partnerships with business COEs, and cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to the development and prioritization of our Learning Technology roadmap, working closely with Centers of Excellence to identify and address key business needs
  • Plan, scope, and deploy enhancements to our Workday Learning system to ensure compliance and a positive employee experience
  • Lead discovery, requirements gathering, design, development, testing and change management of Workday solutions for Learning
  • Participate and lead components of Learning projects and new deployments; this may include design, testing, configuration, change management support and hypercare activities
  • Reduce the number of employee inquiries related to Learning by implementing enhancements and break fixes and improving the clarity of self-service documentation
  • Break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide subject matter insights and recommendations
  • Recommend and implement solutions based on issue analysis and business impact
  • Develop solutions based on an understanding of the business strategy and team member needs, ensuring solutions return shareholder value and business results
  • Conduct research using Workday’s online courses and Community forum on various documentation and configuration to provide SME support
  • Promote reporting automation, self-service, and a culture of data-driven decisions
  • Work independently and regularly handle non-routine situations and system anomalies
  • Commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging


What you bring:

  • 1-3 years of Workday experience, Workday Learning is highly preferred
  • Experience and understanding of backend configuration to ensure system integrity to optimize performance is considered an asset
  • Strong project management, verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to influence design decisions based on knowledge of Workday capability 
  • Knowledge and experience with the Workday Deployment Methodology / SDLC (e.g., Plan, Design, Build, Test, Deploy, Support) 
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize support tickets and caseloads efficiently using platforms such as Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Willingness and curiosity to learn and expand knowledge within the Workday space
  • Excellent analytical skills with a passion for solving complex problems and providing high levels of service to our client groups
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
