The Lease Analyst is responsible for the administration and validation of lease-related financial obligations for an assigned portfolio of leased properties. This role reviews landlord invoices, validates charges against lease terms, enters payment requests for processing, reconciles landlord accounts, maintains landlord information, and supports lease audit activities. The Lease Analyst works closely with landlords, Finance, Accounts Payable, Real Estate, and Lease Administration teams to ensure accurate and timely administration of lease obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Lease Financial Administration
Review and validate rent, CAM, tax, insurance, utility, and other occupancy-related invoices.
Ensure charges comply with lease terms and approved obligations.
Enter payment requests into lease administration and financial systems.
Monitor invoice processing and resolve payment-related inquiries.
Account Reconciliation
Reconcile landlord statements and outstanding account balances.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies, credits, overpayments, and underpayments.
Research and correct lease financial data issues.
Landlord Administration
Maintain landlord records, remittance information, and contact details.
Process landlord ownership changes and banking updates.
Verify supporting documentation for ownership transfers and payment changes.
Audit Support
Support CAM, tax, and insurance audit activities.
Gather documentation and respond to auditor requests.
Assist in tracking disputes and recovery opportunities.
Data Integrity
Maintain accurate lease and financial information within company systems.
Perform data cleanup and validation activities.
Identify and escalate recurring data quality issues.
Qualifications
1-3 years of lease administration, property accounting, accounts payable, or commercial real estate experience.
Knowledge of commercial lease terminology and occupancy costs.
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
