The pay range for the co-op student role will reflect factors such as the candidate's experience, academic level, and the specific skillset required for the role.
Loblaw has adopted the following hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues can work remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).
The Analyst on the Hard Discount Pricing team will be responsible for overseeing integrity of pricing and pricing decisions for the Maxi and No Frills banners. This role provides hands-on experience working with large datasets, building reports, and analyzing pricing accuracy to support data-driven retail decisions
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate regular and promotional prices across pricing systems
- Support price change execution and verification in stores and online
- Assist with pricing audits and identify pricing discrepancies
- Analyze pricing data to detect errors, trends, and anomalies
- Support weekly price checks and flyer accuracy reviews
- Investigate pricing issues and escalate discrepancies as required
- Maintain pricing documentation and tracking files
- Prepare reports using Excel for pricing accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with Pricing Managers, Merchandising, Store Operations, and IT teams
- Support ad hoc pricing analytics projects to improve pricing recommendations
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program (Business, Commerce, Economics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, or related field)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (filters, VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Basic understanding of pricing, margins, and retail KPIs
- Ability to analyze data and identify inconsistencies
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with data platforms and querying tools is an asset (e.g. Google Cloud Platform, Teradata, SQL, SAS, Python)
