About the Role

As the Ad Operations Solutions Senior Manager, you will lead the operational strategy for Loblaw’s retail media platforms, with a primary focus on Sponsored Products while expanding support into Audience Hub and DSP solutions. You will oversee a team responsible for campaign activation, monitoring, reporting, platform support, and client enablement — ensuring advertisers achieve measurable success across both self-serve and managed-service models.

You bring deep expertise in retail media and search advertising, with the ability to design scalable workflows, introduce automation, and deliver operational excellence across multiple ad products. As a leader and subject matter expert, you will partner closely with product, sales, and engineering to strengthen platform adoption, drive cross-channel performance, and unlock new revenue opportunities. Your leadership will not only elevate operational standards but also expand the team’s domain expertise and help shape the future of Loblaw’s retail media ecosystem.

What You Will Do

Lead & Develop the Team

  • Manage and mentor a team of ad operations specialists, building expertise in Sponsored Products campaign activation, monitoring, and optimization.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
     

Operational Excellence & Scalability

  • Design and implement repeatable workflows and automation that ensure campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, and at scale.

  • Standardize processes to reduce error rates and improve efficiency across both self-serve and managed-service models.
     

Platform & Product Expertise

  • Act as the subject matter expert on Sponsored Products, guiding internal teams and clients on best practices for campaign setup, targeting, pacing, and optimization.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to test, launch, and support new platform features, ensuring operational readiness.
     

Performance Measurement & Insights

  • Develop KPIs, reporting frameworks, and dashboards to track campaign health, spend delivery, ROAS, and operational productivity.

  • Translate data into actionable insights that drive client success and business outcomes.
     

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Client Success, and Product teams to resolve client issues quickly, anticipate challenges, and deliver proactive solutions.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that balance revenue growth, operational scalability, and advertiser experience.

Does This Sound Like You?

  • Experience & Expertise: 8+ years in advertising operations, digital media, or retail media, with deep knowledge of Sponsored Products or search advertising platforms.

  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of campaign optimization strategies, retail media workflows, and ad tech tools that enable automation and scalability.

  • Client & Agency Understanding: Familiarity with media agency workflows and the ability to bridge client needs with platform capabilities.

  • Leadership & Growth Mindset: Proven success in leading teams, mentoring talent, and driving business outcomes through operational improvements.

  • Exceptional Interpersonal and Communication Excellence: Ability to lead and partner across functions, engage stakeholders at all levels, and translate complex technical insights into clear, actionable guidance — thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with forward-looking, strategic thinking.
